| I believe that children develop
a love of learning through play. They learn independence, socialization skills,
cooperation and problem solving. When they feel accepted and loved in an environment
that is set up to encourage independence they tend to explore freely while stretching
their imaginations. All children should be respected for their unique selves,
embracing both strengths and challenges. I look forward to knowing the whole
child. |

| In order to meet the individual
needs of each child the curriculum needs to be varied and developmentally appropriate.
Lil' Folks' Village provides many centers that promote exploration and social
interaction. |
 |
 |
| Lil' Folks' is thoughtfully
organized with an art area, dramatic play materials, reading area block corner,
and train table area. A writing center designed to instill a passion for the
language arts and strengthen communication skills is always available. Music,
movement, puppets, and other exciting tools are incorporated to help bring learning
to life. |

 |
| Lil' Folks' Village is located
in a natural setting in the heart of San Carlos Hills. With an outdoor play
area blessed with a breathtaking view, children are given the opportunity to
engage in gross motor skills using various outdoor toys and games. A water and
sand table, a sand box, and tot vehicles are a few of the many 'goodies' children
have access to during their owutdoor play time. The natural setting likewise
brings visits from deer, humming birds, wood peckers and worms. The children
plant a garden and hopefully with love and care get to see it grow. |

 |
| Our snack time is used to
teach the children about table manners and responsibilities. The children will
help to cook and prepare meals when possible. The children help to clean up
after themselves and to share with others. They develop empathy when they become
part of a group and learn to hear the thoughts and feelings of others. |
